“The Congregation of the Sublime One's disciples have entered upon the correct way; the Congregation of the Sublime One's disciples have followed the way straightforward and upright; the Congregation of the Sublime One's disciples have practiced with care; the Congregation of the Sublime One's disciples have practiced with skill - such as the four pairs and eight types of Noble Ones; that is the Congregation of the Sublime One's disciples; worthy of offerings, worthy of hospitality, worthy of gifts, worthy of veneration - the unequaled field of merit for the world.”

“ Monks, in this monastic community there are monks who are Worthy Ones; with defilements destroyed, have fulfilled renunciation, have done what had to be done, have set down the burden and have gone to the highest ideal, have destroyed the bonds to existence, and are completely Liberated through perfect knowledge - monks, such are these monks in this monastic community.

“Monks, in this monastic community there are monks who, having destroyed the five lower bonds, spontaneously attain that state where their final Liberation is secured, and therefore are not of the nature to return form that state - monks, such are these monks in this monastic community.

“ Monks, in this monastic community there are monks who, having overcome the three bonds and have diminished passion, anger and delusion; they are once-returners, returning only once to mundane states, to return for the ending of affliction - monks, such are these monks in this monastic community.

“Monks, in this monastic community there are monks who, having overcome the three bonds; they are stream-enterers, and are no longer of the nature to ruin, their goal is fixed on Awakening - monks, such are these monks in this monastic community.

“Monks, in this monastic community there are monks who abide with the endeavor to cultivate the four establishments of mindfulness - monks, such are these monks in this monastic community.

“Monks, in this monastic community there are monks who abide with the endeavor to cultivate the four right endeavors… the four foundations of mystical power… the five sense faculties… the five strengths… the seven factors of wisdom… the Noble Eightfold Path - monks, such are these monks in this monastic community.

“Monks, in this monastic community there are monks who abide with the endeavor to cultivate kindness… who abide with the endeavor to cultivate compassion… who abide with the endeavor to cultivate sympathetic good-will… who abide with the endeavor to cultivate equanimity… who abide with the endeavor to contemplate on repulsiveness… who abide with the endeavor to cultivate recognition of impermanence - monks, such are these monks in this monastic community.
